Bumble Bee Shakedown 1
During this shakedown, I found out that the exhaust system was not up to par so it got replaced from one end to the other. |

Bumble Bee Shakedown 2
After redoing the exhaust and replacing the muffler with a SuperTrapp,I installed the Hella 2000 lights next to the PIAAs and the car was ready for a night time shakedown.
This time nothing went wrong, but I didn't like the way the car handled with the relatively soft springs, so I went back to the drawing board. |

New Rear Suspension Setup
I had a set of coilover sleeves and perches laying around collecting dust in the garage for over 4 years, I decided to try them, the installation was rather simple but the result I got using the springs I had was not acceptable, so I contacted a friend who runs Baja every year, after some scavenging in his garage I came up with a pair of 375 lbs springs that measured very close to the ones I needed. Now not only I have a stiffer suspension, I got more ground clearance and the whole setup is adjustable. |

As you can see dimensionally everything is the same but the performance and the ground clearance are phenomenal. You can also see the sleeved Terratrip wheel sensor wire. |
